Our Outpatient Clinical therapists specialize in providing clinical, therapeutic services to adults experiencing difficulties in one or more life areas. Therapy services are designed to support your specific mental health needs while increasing emotional regulation and decreasing symptoms.
Therapy supports individuals, couples and families in a safe and caring environment. Our services are generally provided in privacy at Pillars, however, depending on availability, the outpatient therapist may be available to provide services in your home.
We are currently accepting new patients, ages 18 and up.
We are able to provide therapeutic intervention with many different techniques, including art therapy, talk therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support in many life areas, including;

Outpatient Therapy is offered at our Fairfield office.
Pillars offers four types of group therapy services, each consisting of education, family and peer support with the goal of assisting individuals with focusing on wellness, meaningful activities, and community tenure. Pillars provides all workbooks and materials needed for each group, as well as snacks and refreshments for attendees.
Wellness Recovery Action Planning
Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP) explores the foundational concepts of recovery and wellness, including hope, personal responsibility, and education by increasing the understanding of personal experiences. WRAP encourages the use of natural supports, and helps individuals to develop a personal plan that promotes an improvement in their quality of life, focusing on relapse prevention, personal growth, and recovery.
Recovery Workbook Group
The Recovery Workbook Group is a curriculum based recovery group designed to assist individuals to increase their awareness and achieve a better understanding of the recovery process. This group includes the development of coping and empowerment strategies, skills for rebuilding connections with self and/or others, skills needed to strengthen and maintain the recovery process and to create opportunities for living fuller lives.
Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Group
Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Groups (TREM) is a skills-based group treatment approach that addresses issues of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. Group sessions focus on empowerment, trauma, recovery, and advanced trauma recovery issues. Each session will last seventy-five minutes (1 hour, 15 minutes), and will include a combination of discussion and experimental exercises.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a skill-oriented training group conducted in a educational format which focuses on the acquisition and strengthening of skills. Skills training consists of four modules; Mindfullness, Distress tolerance, Interpersonal effectiveness in conflict situations, and Emotional regulation. Groups typically meet weekly for 2 to 2½ hour sessions for up to 1 year. However, this group may meet more frequently for a shorter duration based upon the needs of group members.
